Sales tax now applies to some services

Starting October 1: Some business services are now subject to retail sales tax, as required by state law, ESSB 5814. When you buy these services, vendors should add sales tax to your bill. 2026 tax rates and changes

DOR provides quarterly lists of local sales & use tax rates and changes for cities and counties in Washington state. The department also provides quarterly tax rate information for lodging sales as well as motor vehicles sales or leases.
