The town of Steilacoom requires a license for all businesses located within town limits, or conducting business within town limits. If you are not sure if you will do business within the town limits, contact the town directly before you apply.
License fee is determine by number of employees who work within the town limits of Steilacoom.
Method for calculating employees
Add up all employees, both full time (21+ hours) and part time (fewer than 20 hours), and that equals the number of employees. Round up if it is a fraction.
"Employee" means any person who performs services for another in exchange for wages, salary and/or commission. An owner-operator shall be considered an "employee".
The minimum number of employees is one. This includes self-employed persons, sole proprietors, owners, managers, and partners.
