Starting October 1: Some business services are now subject to retail sales tax, as required by state law, ESSB 5814. When you buy these services, vendors should add sales tax to your bill. Excel workbook
The use of this workbook tool has declined considerably since it was implemented. On June 30, 2024, the Excel Workbook will be discontinued. The workbook will not be updated after Quarter 4, 2023. Additional sales and use tax tools are available online.
A downloadable tax calculator workbook using Microsoft Excel that displays tax rates and location codes, calculates totals, and summarizes sales by city or county without an online connection. This Excel Workbook may be used to upload local sales tax data to e-file, or the local sales tax data may be printed and attached to your paper tax return.
Note: The workbook does not include location codes and rates for sales or leases of motor vehicles and sales of lodging.
