Electronic funds transfer (EFT)
What is EFT?
The EFT program involves the transfer of funds by electronic means instead of by check, draft, or similar paper instrument. The taxpayer initiates the transaction electronically, authorizing a financial institution (bank) to debit or credit an account. The EFT program only affects taxes reported on the Excise Tax Return.
