Bothell joins suburban neighbors in combined licensing service

Revenue’s solution links commerce for most Bothell neighbors in King and Snohomish counties

OLYMPIA, Wash.
– April 7, 2022 – The growing suburb of Bothell is today the newest partner of the Department of Revenue’s Business Licensing Service (BLS).

The state’s premier licensing one-stop solution, BLS serves more than 200 Washington municipalities, linking local licensing to hundreds of state registrations, such as liquor licenses.

Bothell is home to 50,000 residents along the Sammamish River that flows west toward the north shore of Lake Washington. The city was incorporated in 1909 and continues to flourish along with its downtown revitalization that was started a decade ago. The city is now linked to the popular local business licensing solution used by neighbors Kirkland, Mill Creek, and Woodinville -- thus streamlining service for businesses that conduct business in several area cities. BLS serves dozens of Central Puget Sound suburbs by offering integrated state and local licensing administration that is free for municipal governments. The complete list of BLS partner cities is at dor.wa.gov/city-license-endorsements.
