Goldendale joins Revenue’s combined licensing solution

OLYMPIA, Wash. – Feb. 11, 2021 – The city of Goldendale today is zooming in on a new partnership with the Department of Revenue. Goldendale is adding Revenue’s Business Licensing Service (BLS), a free combined licensing solution that streamlines licensing steps for local commerce.

Goldendale, the biggest city and the county seat of Klickitat County, is home to nearly 400 businesses and 3,500 residents. It is also the site of the Goldendale Observatory, which houses one of the nation’s largest public telescopes.

Goldendale will be joined next month by its fellow Klickitat neighbor, Bingen. BLS partner cities are a statewide network of communities that will grow to more than 200 next year. A list of partners can be found on the city license endorsements page.

The Department of Revenue is Washington state’s primary tax agency, nationally recognized as a trusted leader in tax administration and customer service. Revenue administers nearly 60 categories of taxes that help fund vital public services. It also oversees programs that return money to the public, including the Working Families Tax Credit and Unclaimed Property.
