Columbia currents carry Cathlamet to combined licensing partnership

OLYMPIA, Wash. – April 8, 2021 – The town of Cathlamet joined the Business Licensing Service today as the 165th local partner of the state’s combined licensing one-stop.

As the county seat of Wahkiakum County, Cathlamet is home to dozens of businesses that are part of the state system that links hundreds of registrations – like liquor licensing and minor work permits – as well as local business licensing across the state. By August, all of the incorporated communities in the Lower Columbia region will be connected to BLS.

In 2022, BLS will support business licensing in more than 200 communities, providing time savings and a streamlined solution to thousands of Washington private enterprises working in most Washington cities. A list of city and town partners is listed on our city license endorsements page.
