Yakima County towns connect local licensing with state licensing service

OLYMPIA, Wash. – Nov. 19, 2020 – Three is the magic number, as a trio of upper Yakima Valley municipalities are set to join the state Department of Revenue’s Business Licensing Service (BLS) this fall.

Revenue today welcomes the town of Naches on Highway 12 into its business licensing partnership.

Later this fall, the nearby town of Harrah, population 300, and the city of Tieton, population 1,200, also will add Revenue’s streamlined licensing service.

About 20 Yakima-area cities manage local licensing administration with the Revenue’s solution that connects state and local registration requirements. BLS supports about 600 different types of regulatory licenses among dozens of state agency programs and nearly 150 Washington municipalities. BLS is a free service to public agencies and municipalities.

A list of partner cities is available on the city license endorsements page.
