South Bend, Raymond, and others connect to business licensing service

OLYMPIA, Wash. – April 30, 2020 – The self-proclaimed “Oyster Capital of the World” is today a pearly new partner of the Department of Revenue’s Business Licensing Service (BLS).

South Bend, which sits on the shores of Willapa Bay, is the first of 16 cities in southwest Washington to link to the streamlined licensing service over the next year. Its neighbor, Raymond, joins the service later this spring while Aberdeen, Hoquiam, and Ocean Shores will join in early 2021.

BLS is a one-stop shop that helps businesses manage local licenses. It is especially helpful for businesses operating in various communities because it links the licensing process for dozens of regional cities.

BLS works for 130 communities statewide, with another 20 communities connecting by year end. A list of present partner cities is located on the city license endorsements page.
