Wenatchee serves up a new combined licensing solution

OLYMPIA, WASH. – Oct. 17, 2019 – The Apple Capital of the World – the city of Wenatchee – is the newest local partner in the state Department of Revenue’s Business Licensing Service (BLS).

Wenatchee’s warm summers and riverside location are a big advantage to the city’s economy. Today, local businesses get another advantage with a service that allows businesses to apply for and renew state and city licenses at the same time.

Local restauranteur Candy Mecham has led successful food service businesses for nearly 40 years. Her company runs several popular eateries in both Wenatchee and Leavenworth.

“We are glad to save time renewing our liquor license and other state registrations when we renew our city license each year. Anything to simplify licensing gives us more time to focus on our business serving great food to happy customers,” Mecham said.

More information about the streamlined service is at bls.dor.wa.gov.
