Sales tax now applies to some services

Starting October 1: Some business services are now subject to retail sales tax, as required by state law, ESSB 5814. When you buy these services, vendors should add sales tax to your bill. Tenino connects with South Sound neighbors via licensing service

OLYMPIA, WASH. – Aug 15, 2019 – The South Sound city of Tenino is the newest partner in the state Department of Revenue’s Business Licensing Service (BLS).

The city joins Lacey, Olympia, Tumwater, and Yelm as Thurston County cities connecting local businesses to hundreds of state and local registrations that can be obtained in a combined process.
