Edmonds makes waves as newest local licensing partner

OLYMPIA, WASH. – May 16, 2019 – The Department of Revenue (Department) welcomes the city of Edmonds as the newest local licensing partner for the state’s Business Licensing Service.

Edmonds joins 10 other Snohomish County cities that have partnered with the state’s BLS. Neighbors Lynnwood, Mountlake Terrace, and Woodway are next and will join this fall. Within the next two years, 15 cities in Snohomish County will be BLS partners.

Through BLS, Edmonds businesses can now use the combined licensing service to apply for hundreds of registrations in a one-stop-shop. Businesses can also use their secure My DOR account to renew all of these licenses in a streamlined online process.

The Department of Revenue manages one of the few systems nationwide that helps businesses to register with agencies and cities in a single transaction. Find out more at bls.dor.wa.gov.
