The Department generates the tax summaries annually to help make businesses aware of changes to the state tax system.  Check out the 2009 summary, which covers 43 bills and their projected fiscal impact, if any, over the next four years.

To search for 2009 tax legislation on the Washington State Legislature's web site:

1. Type the word "tax" in the box titled "Search Brief Description by Keyword"
2. Click "Search"
3. Click on the bill number to read the bill information
   

Additional information is available on specific legislation that replaces resale certificates with reseller permits, clarifies the taxation of digital products, and requires monthly taxpayers to file and pay their taxes electronically.
