OLYMPIA – July 1, 2011 – Washington State’s Business Licensing Service shifts to the Department of Revenue effective today.

In May, Governor Chris Gregoire signed legislation to move the state’s Master License Service (MLS) from the Department of Licensing to the Department of Revenue.

Information about the service, renamed Business Licensing Service (BLS), is now available at http://business.wa.gov/BLS  or by calling the toll-free number, 1-800-451-7985.

All previous online content has been redirected to the new site. Previous phone numbers will continue to work too. Those seeking in-person assistance may now visit:

The Department of Licensing, http://www.dol.wa.gov/,  continues to issue, renew, and regulate “professional” licenses.
